Uefa Champions League 2024/25: Aston Villa 3-2 PSG – Villans’ win not enough

Aston Villa produced a beautiful comeback against Paris Saint-German (PSG) at Villa Park , however, are out of the Uefa Champions League following an incredible 5-4 aggregate defeat.

Heading into the showdown with a 3-1 deficit from the first leg, they slipped two (2) goals behind on the night following goals from Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes in the 11th and 27th minutes respectively.

The two (2) goals seemingly placed an end to any hopes of a comeback for the Villans, but, shocked the French Ligue 1 Kings by pulling three of the four goals back.

Unai Emery’s side’s goals came through Youri Tielemans, John McGinn and Ezri Konsa in the 34th 55th and 57th minutes, but the final goal wouldn’t come.

Aston Villa are out of the tournament while PSG progress into the semis.
