Nigerian sharpshooter, Victor Osimhen, scored a brace to help Galatasaray beat Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe and reach the semi finals of the Turkish Cup on Wednesday 2 April, 2025 at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
Once again, the Istanbul derby went the way of Galatasaray, thanks to a double from Osimhen in the 10th minute and 27th minute from the penalty spot after Mauro Icardi was brought down in the area.
Fenerbahçe pulled one back through Sebastian Szymański in the 1st minute of first half additional time.
From there on it was difficult for Mourinho’s side to break through Galatasaray’s disciplined defence structure.
