Spox of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Lin Jian, said, “China will not sit by and let anyone sabotage the international trade rules and multilateral trading system.”
The Chinese FM made the statement in response to US President, Donald Trump’s recently imposed ‘Reciprocal Tariffs’ on China and other countries around the world.
China’s retaliatory actions following Trump’s recent tariffs, angered the US President which forced him to raise tariffs charged to China by the USA to 125%.
Lin Jian said: “China will raise tariffs for all imported US goods from 34% to 84% on April 10.
“We will absolutely not sit by and let others take away the Chinese people’s legitimate rights and interests, or let anyone sabotage the international trade rules and multilateral trading system.”
