Speaker Tajudeen empower constituents with ‘117 vehicles, 200 tricycles and 1000 motorcycles, disburse ₦5 billion in scholarships to 30,000 students’

Speaker of Nigeria’s 10th House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, said: “Only few days after I empowered constituents with 117 vehicles, 200 tricycles and 1000 motorcycles, I again witnessed history being made on Friday.

“With deep gratitude to the Almighty and immense pride in the resilience of our youth, I disbursed ₦5 billion in scholarships to 30,000 students from across the North-West geopolitical zone. From Jigawa to Zamfara, Kaduna to Kebbi, Sokoto to Kano and Katsina, these scholarships—ranging from ₦200,000 to ₦800,000—are not just financial aid; they are investments in dreams, engines for progress, and a resounding declaration that education is the future of this region, and Nigeria as a whole.

“Watching the students cheer as they received their alerts was emotional. This is what public service should feel like—impactful and transformational. We launched this ambitious education intervention at the brand new Federal University of Education, Zaria, in the company of notable sons and daughters of Kaduna State and the Northwest, including my governor, Senator Uba Sani, who was ably represented. Yet, the true VIPs were the students whose futures we are lighting up. We are prioritizing fields like Medicine, Engineering, Law, and Technology—because Nigeria needs doctors, engineers, lawyers, and tech innovators now more than ever.

“I also announced something dear to my heart: a modern orphanage in Zaria. This is more than bricks and mortar—it will be a sanctuary of love, education, and care for our most vulnerable children. Education remains my life’s mission. From sponsoring 8,000 students for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB, to initiating the ₦80 billion Education Village in Zaria, our efforts continue to expand—across Kaduna and beyond, from Bayelsa to Imo, Kwara to Ondo.

This is my solemn promise: I will never stop working for the Nigerian child.

“To the beneficiaries—study hard, soar high, and never forget the hopes riding on your success. The North-West, and indeed Nigeria, is counting on you. Thank you to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani for their unwavering support. To my beloved constituents—thank you for believing in me.

“We are not done yet. The future is bright. Let’s build it together.”
