Pope Francis Passes At 88: ‘He wanted the Church to bring joy and hope to the poorest’ – President Macron

President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has sent his condolences following the passing of Pope Francis on Easter Monday.

Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church and Sovereign of the Vatican City State, passed at the age of eighty-eight (88).

The French President said, “Pope Francis wanted the Church to bring joy and hope to the poorest.”

In his condolence, President Macron wrote: “From Buenos Aires to Rome, Pope Francis wanted the Church to bring joy and hope to the poorest. To unite people with one another and with nature. May this hope be reborn endlessly beyond him.

“To all Catholics, to a grieving world, my wife and I send our thoughts.”
