The Nigerian Presidency has congratulated Remo Stars after emerging Champions of Nigeria on Sunday afternoon.
Remo Stars defeated Niger Tornadoes by a lone goal in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State on Sunday 27 April, 2025, thanks to O. Adebayo’s goal in the 84th minute.
The Presidency through Bayo Onanuga , Special Adviser, Information and Strategy, to President Bola Tinubu, wrote: “Congratulations Remo Stars for winning the 2024-2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season. You have proven that unrelenting resilience pays. You were so near the trophy in the previous three seasons. And finally you clinched it.”
This feat is coming to the Sky Blue Stars after a 15-year wait.
