Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, and the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, with prospective investors held strategic talks with the aim “to boost foreign investment in Nigeria”.
The engagement took place in Washington DC, United States (US) during the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings.
According to Central Bank of Nigeria: “As part of ongoing efforts to boost foreign investment in Nigeria, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, and the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, held strategic talks with prospective investors on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
“The engagement, held during the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., focused on converting Nigeria’s ambitious reform agenda into actionable investment opportunities—spotlighting the country’s economic resilience and reinforcing the government’s commitment to a more competitive and investor-friendly environment.”
