Governor of Benue State , Hyacinth Alia, said, he joined his colleagues in the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) for a “crucial meeting focused on the security and wellbeing of our great nation.”
This is coming following the recent attacks in the North Central State where more than fifty (50) people were killed.
Governor Alia said: “Yesterday, I joined my colleagues in the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) in Abuja for a crucial meeting focused on the security and wellbeing of our great nation.
“One of the highlights of our deliberations was a presentation by the CDS on a groundbreaking security initiative. The initiative is designed to enhance both national and sub-national capacities for early threat detection, as well as enable a more unified and rapid response to security challenges.

“As the Chief Security Officer of Benue State, I am fully committed to any strategy that promotes peace, protects lives and property, and ensures the safety of our communities. We will continue to work closely with relevant security agencies and stakeholders to implement solutions that are effective, not just in theory, but in real-time, on the ground.”
