President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has called for peace in the fighting between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
The French President said, “we need peace.”
Macron expressed France’s “full commitment to the release of all hostages, the restoration of a permanent ceasefire, and the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.”
His statement is coming after Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, said, “President Macron is gravely mistaken when he continues to promote the idea of a Palestinian state.”
President Macron said: “I just spoke with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
“France expresses its full commitment to the release of all hostages, the restoration of a permanent ceasefire, and the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
“It is necessary to build a framework for the post-war phase: disarming and eliminating Hamas, establishing a credible system of governance, and reforming the Palestinian Authority.
“This should enable progress towards a two-state political solution, by the June conference, in the service of peace and security for all.
“We need peace.”
