New Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, has sent his “strong” message to Canadians following US President, Donald Trump’s 25% tariff on Canadian goods.
Carney’s message is coming following his victory in the election which held on Monday 28 April , 2025.
The former Bank of England Chief expressed his gratitude to Canadians after his election victory; he said: “Thank you, Canada.
“Our strength lies in our resolve to work together. United, we will build Canada strong.”
Via a video, in his reaction to Trump’s 25% tariff on Canadian goods, Carney urged Canadians to stay “strong and United”, adding, “this is Canada and we decide what happens here”.
