Borussia Dortmund made light work of Freiburg, winning four (4) goals to one (1) in the Bundesliga match on Saturday 5 April, 2025 at Europa-Park Stadion.
Karim Adeyemi and Carey Chibueze Chukwemka, who is on loan from Premier League club, Chelsea, placed the Black and Yellow two (2) goals ahead in the 34th and 51st minutes respectively.
Serhou Guirassy and Jamie Gittens extended the lead for the hosts in the 68th and 78th minutes respectively before Maximilian Eggestein scored Freiburg’s consolation in the 88th minute.
The outcome reignited Dortmund’s hopes of finishing in the top four as they gear up for their Uefa Champions League 2024/25 quarter-final first leg with Barcelona next week.
