Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie, has come out to hail Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for reason (s) that is/are unclear as he did not state any.
Edochie simply wrote: “Nwoke!!”
This is happening after President Bola Tinubu declared a State of Emergency in Rivers State, and went ahead to suspend the Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, alongside his Deputy and members of the State House of Assembly.
President Tinubu’s decision is coming as the unrest in the South-South State intensified without any end in sight.
Nigerians, including political leaders have expressed their disgust at the President’s decision to suspend a democratically elected Governor of a state, describing it as “unconstitutional”.
The Presidency has clarified through Sunday Dare, Special Adviser, Media/Communication Spokesperson to President Tinubu, that, the House of Reps gave the President the approval to suspend Governor Fubara.
President Tinubu has sworn in Vice Admiral Ibas (RTD) as Sole Administrator of Rivers State.
