Reno Omokri has made his “opinion” clear on the declaration of State of Emergency in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu.
Omokri said, “I stand very strongly by my opinion supporting President Tinubu’s Emergency Declaration in Rivers State and his suspension of the Governor, Mr. Simi Fubara, as well as the State House of Assembly for an initial period of six months.”
He added, “I believe from the bottom of my heart that it is in the best interest of Nigeria.”
However, Omokri said, when his opinion clashes with that of Goodluck Jonathan, then the former President’s opinion is “automatically superior, and less fallible than mine”.
Omokri said: “Former President Goodluck Jonathan is the person I admire most in the world of politics. If his opinion and mine clash, then his opinion is automatically SUPERIOR to mine. I stand very strongly by my opinion supporting President Tinubu’s Emergency Declaration in Rivers State and his suspension of the Governor, Mr. Simi Fubara, as well as the State House of Assembly for an initial period of six months. I believe from the bottom of my heart that it is in the best interest of Nigeria.
“However, as I said above, when my opinion clashes with President Jonathan’s, his opinion is automatically better, above, superior, and less fallible than mine. Perfection belongs only to God. Even though I stand strongly by my opinion, under the rain and under the sun, former President Jonathan is my leader, and flesh and blood cannot separate us.
“May God bless Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, the Face of Democracy in Africa.”
