Finidi George’s Rivers United emerged victorious by a lone goal over Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Saturday 8 March, 2025.
It was Samson Obi who netted the only goal of the encounter late, in the 83rd minute, for the Pride of Rivers; his first goal for the club.
