Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport: Governor Abiodun inspects and tests newly installed equipments for ‘security and efficiency’

Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, said, he visited the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport and inspected as well as tested newly installed equipment “that will enhance security and efficiency” at the airport.

Th Governor affirmed, “our administration remains steadfast in delivering infrastructure that supports economic growth and facilitates seamless business operations.”

Governor Abiodun said: “Yesterday, we visited the Gateway International Agro Cargo Airport to inspect and test some of the newly installed equipment that will enhance security and efficiency at our airport. We are pleased to announce that all five luggage scanners have been successfully installed, ensuring thorough and efficient screening of baggage. Additionally, the luggage conveyor belt has been fully assembled, further streamlining the handling process for cargo and passenger luggage.

“As part of our commitment to safety, we also tested the newly installed walk-through scanner at the terminal building. These upgrades align with our vision to make the Gateway International Agro Cargo Airport a world-class facility that meets global standards in aviation security and logistics. Our administration remains steadfast in delivering infrastructure that supports economic growth and facilitates seamless business operations. The progress at this airport reaffirms our dedication to transforming Ogun State into an aviation and trade hub.”
