Defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has congratulated and encouraged the Super Eagles, saying, “well done boys…we are almost there.”
Omeruo’s statement is coming after Nigeria failed to clinch victory over Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifier on Tuesday evening.
The Super Eagles were forced to a 1-1 draw by Zimbabwe in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Tuesday 25 March, 2025.
Victor Osimhen scored for Eric Chelle’s side in the 74th minute, and Tawanda Chirewa equalized for the visitors in the 90th minute.
Omeruo wrote: “Well done boys… we are almost there.. unlucky with the late goal.. #Believe “
Nigeria are 4th in Group C with 7 points, 6 points behind toppers, South Africa, while Zimbabwe are 6th with 4 points.
