Cameroon defeated Libya 3-1 in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier on Tuesday 25 March, 2025, thanks to a brace by Turkish Süper Lig club, Hatayspor, striker, Vincent Aboubakar.
In the Group D encounter at Stade Omnisport de Douala in Douala, Aboubakar opened scoring for the Indomitable Lions in the 26th minute from the penalty spot.
The pressure on the visitors continued, leading to the hosts netting their second through Bryan Mbeumo in the 53rd minute.

Aboubakar completed his brace to make it three for Cameroon in the 61st minute before the Libyans scored their consolation in the 1st minute of additional time through striker Ezzeddine Maremi.
Cameroon are second in Group D with 12 points, while Libya are third with 8 points.
