Enugu State: Governor Mbah sign executive order designating and establishing Enugu Int’l Motor Spare Parts and Allied Traders Park

Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, announced: “I have signed an Executive Order designating and establishing the Enugu International Motor Spare Parts and Allied Traders Park in Nsude, Udi LGA, and Ogwofia Owa in Ezeagu LGA, Enugu State. This marks the official relocation of the Coal Camp Spare Parts Market and other allied trades within the Enugu Capital Territory to a purpose-built, world-class facility.

“This move is essentially about transformation. For decades, our traders have been promised a modern market that meets international standards, but those promises remained unfulfilled. Today, we are changing that story. The new site along the Enugu-Onitsha Road is a commercial hub built with traders in mind, ensuring a safe, well-organised, and sustainable environment for business.

“At the signing ceremony, in the presence of the leaders of the Enugu motor spare parts dealers, I reiterated our commitment to providing the best infrastructure for trade and investment. This new market is designed with all necessary facilities—clinics, fire service, truck parks, warehouses, and ample parking spaces. Traders will own their shops instead of paying rent, and they will have easy access to modern residential areas, smart schools, healthcare centres, a police station, and recreational spaces.

“As we push forward with developing the park, we hope that in the coming months, traders will transition seamlessly into a thriving, self-contained business community.

“I appreciate the support of the Enugu Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association, led by Chief Michael Nomeh. This strategic move is part of our broader vision for Enugu’s economic growth, strengthening the emerging 9th Mile business corridor and driving us towards a $30bn GDP economy.”
