Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, announced, he presented over 10,000 sets of equipment to 2,000 entrepreneurs “to expand their businesses and grow our local economy.”
The Governor said, the move was made possible under the ARISE Entrepreneurial Equipment Support Scheme.
According to Governor Umo Eno: “My passion to deliver on my campaign promises and promote entrepreneurship continues to drive our administration’s efforts. We remain committed to empowering businesses, supporting hard work, and building a thriving middle class.
As part of this commitment, I presented over 10,000 sets of equipment to 2,000 entrepreneurs under the ARISE Entrepreneurial Equipment Support Scheme—giving them the tools to expand their businesses and grow our local economy.”
He continued: “Additionally, we provided:
77 minibuses and 31 saloon cars to various beneficiaries
N10 million to Edidiong Essien, who scored 8 As in the 2023 WASCE
Full sponsorship for a master’s degree abroad for Dr. Joseph Akpan, who earned 10 distinctions at the University of Uyo
N15 million to five Akwa Ibom students who won the Singapore-Bilateral International School Debate, plus N5 million for their teachers
N5 million to Otobong Philip Udoh, a female tipper truck driver breaking barriers in a male-dominated field.
“These initiatives reflect our commitment to supporting enterprise, rewarding excellence, and uplifting lives. I encourage all beneficiaries to use these resources wisely and inspire others through their success.
