Nigerian sharpshooter, Victor Osimhen, scored twice as Galatasaray defeated Rizespor 2-1 in the Süper Lig match on Monday 17 February, 2025 at Caykur Didi Stadyumu.
Osimhen opened scoring for the Yellow-Reds in the 47th minute, but, the hosts levelled through A. Sowe after converting D. Akintola’s assist in the 54th minute.
The Nigerian striker sealed victory for Galatasaray late, in the 86th minute, to hand the visitors all three (3) points on the road.
With this outcome, Galatasaray maintain their position tightly at the top of the table with 63 points, trailed by Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe, who have amassed 57 points, while Rizespor are 12th with 27th points.
