Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has hailed Tottenham Hotspur, describing Spurs as a “fantastic team”, adding, they have “individual quality”.
The Spaniard’s statement is coming ahead of the top flight match between the Cityzens and Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs on Wednesday night.
Manchester City will take a trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday 26 February, 2025 at 20:30 (WAT).
In the previous encounter, Manchester City lost 0-2 to toppers, Liverpool, on Sunday 23 February, 2025.
At his press conference ahead of the away match, Guardiola said:
On Erling Haaland’s fitness:
“Tonight we will know after training. I hope [he will be fit] but I don’t know yet.He feels better but the last two games he could not play. We’ll see tomorrow.”
On Spurs:
“They’re a fantastic team, with individual quality. The rhythm they play and intensity… The results dictate one thing but the opinion of the team is the opposite.”
On January signings:
“Really good for the short time in training, really good. Khusanov arrived and played against Chelsea, Newcastle, Madrid, Liverpool, tough and difficult schedules… he doesn’t speak English fluently so the impact is good. Omar as well, Nico has played less but they have been really good. We’re satisfied and of course Vitor when he has minutes it’s a good level.”
