The hosts lost Argentine defender, Lisandro Martinez, to what looked like a serious knee injury late in the game.

Mateta opened scoring for the Eagles in the 64th minute, and went ahead to seal victory for Oliver Glasner’s side late, in the 89th minute.

With this outcome, Manchester United are 13th with 29 points, while Crystal Palace are 12th with 30 points.
