Chelsea came back from a three-game losing run with a 4-0 much-needed thumping of Southampton in the Premier League match at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 25 February, 2025.
Christopher Nkunku opened scoring for Enzo Maresca’s side in the 24th minute, and Pedro Neto converted Nkunku’s assist to make it two in the 36th minute.
Levi Colwill extended the lead to three for the hosts in the 44th minute, and Marc Cucurella sealed victory for the Blues in the 76th minute to hand Chelsea all crucial three (3) points.
With this result, Chelsea move to fourth with 46 points, two (2) points above Manchester City, who will slug it out with Tottenham on Wednesday night at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while Southampton sit tightly at the bottom of the table with just nine (9) points. Both sides have played 27 games.
