Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has laid his eldest brother to rest on Friday 7 February, 2025.

In attendance were, Governors Senator Bala Mohammed, Ademola Adeleke and Caleb Mutfwang of Bauchi, Osun and Plateau States respectively.
Governor Makinde wrote: “We laid our eldest brother, Sunday Makinde to rest today. As I said in my remarks, Sundo has lived and left. But his works live on and his deeds will go well with him. Rest well Sundo, until we meet to part no more.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank everyone who joined us for the funeral rites. I especially thank my brothers: HE
@SenBalaMohammed; HE @AAdeleke_01; HE @CalebMutfwang; Chief @BayoAdelabu and HE Monday Onyeme, Deputy Governor of Delta State, who took time out of their busy schedules to attend the funeral.”
