China has said through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that, “Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people.”

The Chinese MFA added, “It is an inalienable part of the territory of Palestine, not a bargaining chip for political gains.”
This statement is coming after US President, Donald Trump, announced, the United States (US) “will take over the Gaza Strip”.
The Gaza Strip is almost completely ruined as a result of the fighting between Israel and Palestinian fighters, known as, Hamas, which has lasted over a year.
The fighting between Israel and Hamas started on Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas struck Israel by surprise killing more than 1,000 Israelis and taking many others hostage.
According to MFA China: “Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people. It is an inalienable part of the territory of Palestine, not a bargaining chip for political gains. The international community should join hands to facilitate humanitarian assistance and reconstruction rather than aggravate the situation there.
China firmly supports the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people. “Palestinians governing Palestine” is the fundamental way forward for Gaza’s post-conflict governance. We oppose forced displacement of Gazans.”
