The G20 Summit 2025 is scheduled to take place in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa from 22 to 23 November 2025; It will be the first G20 summit held in South Africa and on the African continent.

According to Marco Rubio: “I will NOT attend the G20 summit in Johannesburg.

South Africa is doing very bad things. Expropriating private property. Using G20 to promote “solidarity, equality, & sustainability.” In other words: DEI and climate change.

My job is to advance America’s national interests, not waste taxpayer money or coddle anti-Americanism.”

President of the US, Donald Trump, had earlier announced, his government is cutting off “future funding to South Africa for confiscating land and treating certain classes of people very badly”.

However, in his response to Trump, SA President, Cyril Ramaphosa, said, “South Africa government has not confiscated any land”.
