According to Governor Diri: “What a historic day! We have built, inaugurated and handed over a brand new building to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) as their secretariat.
Let me appreciate my Brother-Governor of Rivers State, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, @SimFubaraKSC for doing us the honour of inaugurating the project as part of activities to celebrate our 5th Anniversary as a government.
While I am happy that our government of Assured Prosperity has been able to provide the labour unions with a good edifice to carry out their functions, I do appreciate their leaders and hardworking members for the existing harmonious relationship with the government.
The Prosperity Administration will continue to prioritise the welfare of workers just as we are striving to ensure the clearing of all outstanding gratuities and pensions to the retirees.”
