Ayodele Olawande, Minister for Youth Development, said, he visited the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, “to discuss the modalities for enhancing youth safety, protection and security across Nigeria.”

Olawande added, “I stressed the importance of a stronger partnership between the Ministry of Youth Development and the Police to improve youth safety and security.”
According to Olawande: “Yesterday, I paid a visit to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun to discuss the modalities for enhancing youth safety, protection, and security across Nigeria.
During the visit, I commended IGP Egbetokun for his love for the youth of Nigeria and also for the efforts of the Police in safeguarding the nation at large.
I stressed the importance of a stronger partnership between the Ministry of Youth Development and the Police to improve youth safety and security.
I also highlighted the necessity for collective efforts to eliminate incidents of youth harassment and intimidation, which was the reason for setting up the Nigerian Youth Help Desk.”
