Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, met with President of Botswana, Duma Gideon Boko, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2025 which is ongoing in Davos, Switzerland.

At a bilateral meeting on Tuesday, both leaders discussed areas of mutual interest between Nigeria and Botswana.
Also, VP Shettima welcomed Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and introduced her to President Boko.
Shettima said the meeting with President Boko “was part of Nigeria’s commitment to fostering stronger intra-African relations and economic cooperation.”
According to Shettima: “On the sidelines of the ongoing 2025 WEF, Vice President
@KashimSM and the President of Botswana, @duma_boko, held a bilateral meeting on Tuesday to discuss areas of mutual interest between both countries.
The meeting was part of Nigeria’s commitment to fostering stronger intra-African relations and economic cooperation.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of leveraging their countries’ strengths to promote mutual growth and development.
