US-Canada: Canada concludes meeting with focus to protect Canadians from ‘harmful US tariffs’

Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, said, “our cabinet just wrapped a day of meetings focused on one thing: protecting Canadians from harmful U.S. tariffs.”

Canada is working towards ensuring Canadians are shielded from the effects of US tariffs after US President, Donald Trump, said, he will establish an External Revenue Service to collect tariffs.
President Trump said, he will establish an External Revenue Service (ERS) “to collect our tariffs, duties and all revenues that come from foreign sources”.
According to PM Trudeau: “Our cabinet just wrapped a day of meetings focused on one thing: protecting Canadians from harmful U.S. tariffs.
 
Canada and the U.S. have a partnership that works for both sides of the border, and we’ll do everything it takes to keep it that way.”
Trudeau continued: “Canada is the United States’ closest friend, their strongest ally, and their biggest customer.”
