The 2024/25 UEFA Europa League knockout phase play-off draw holds from 13:00 CET on Friday 31 January.
The top eight (8) in the League Phase automatically progress into the round of 16, while the teams finishing in ninth to 24th place kick off the knockout stages.
They will fight to clinch their spots in the round of 16 with a two-legged knockout phase play-off.
The teams that finish the League Phase between 9th and 16th will be seeded for the first draw of the knockout phase, and will lock horns with a team placed 17th to 24th. In principle, the seeded teams will play the return leg at home.
The eight (8) teams that emerge victorious in the knockout phase play-offs progress to the round of 16.

Where will the Europa League knockout phase play-off draw hold?
The draw is scheduled to hold at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
How the draw works?
For the draw, eight (8) bowls are prepared, with the bowls having the names of the seeded and unseeded teams placed in the corresponding marked bowls according to the rankings of the League Phase.
The draw starts with the unseeded teams, allocating each team from a pair of unseeded teams to one of the relevant pre-determined positions in the bracket, starting with the sides ranked 23/24 and finishing with those in 17/18.
When will the knockout phase play-off games take place?
The knockout phase play-off will take place within a two-week time period.
First legs:

Second legs:
20 February 2025
The calendar will be confirmed by Uefa, encompassing match dates and kick-off times, on the evening of the draw.
