Newcastle United were doused by AFC Bournemouth 1-4 in the Premier League match at St. James’ Park on Saturday 18 January, 2025.
Justin Kluivert opened scoring for the visitors early, in the 6th minute, before Bruno Guimarães levelled in the 25th minute.
A minute to the end of the first half, Kluivert returned the Cherries back to the front with his second; the Dutchman completed his hat-trick in the 2nd minute of additional time.
M. Kerkez sealed win for Bournemouth in the 6th minute of additional time after converting Kluivert’s assist.
The outcome brings to an end Eddie Howe’s winning run which lasted for only nine (9) games.
The defeat is coming following Newcastle United’s 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Wednesday 15 January, 2025 at St. James’ Park.
Bournemouth have now gone ten (10) Premier League games unbeaten following today’s triumph.
