The rehabilitation of roads within Old and New Bodija in the Ibadan Metropolis (7.172 km) is in full swing. 

The roads being rehabilitated include roads affected by the Bodija Explosion, which occurred on 16 January 2024. The rehabilitation of these roads is part of the Oyo State Government’s plan to support the rebuilding efforts in that area.

The government will also commence the disbursement of financial support to victims by the end of this month, as disclosed by His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde in a recent newsletter: In Memory of Victims of the Bodija Explosion.

The rehabilitation of roads within Old and New Bodija includes:

Adeyi Junction through Davis Hotel to Awosika Junction with Spurs to Dejo Oyelese Estate Road Network, Old Bodija

Favos Road Some other roads to be rehabilitated include:

Canon Odusanwo Close, Dejo Oyelese, Old Bodija Obasanmi Olakanpo Close, Dejo Oyelese, Old Bodija Akinlabi Sanda Close, Dejo Oyelese, Old Bodija Oranmiyan Street, Dejo Oyelese, Old Bodija Beckley Street, Dejo Oyelese, Old Bodija Adeyi, Ekiti/Osun Street, Old Bodija. 

The Street beside Army Base, Dejo Oyelese, Old Bodija Aderinola Street, Dejo Oyelese, Old Bodija

Okunola Abass Estate, New Bodija Ladoke Akintola Road, Adeyi Junction, New Bodija Ibrahim Taiwo – Akinseyinwa Street, New Bodija Moremi – Ogunsola, Sariyu Adebisi, New Bodija.

All together, about 7.127 km of roads are being rehabilitated.
