Biden said, “Jill and I traveled to New Orleans to grieve and pray with the community”, as well as, “let them know that America stands with them, and mourns with them”.

An attacker, 42-year old Jabbar, who was an army veteran, drove a pickup truck through a crowd during new year celebrations, killing 14 people, and leaving many others injured.

Jabbar was killed during a shoot out with the police after he shot at two (2) police officers, who were later reported to be stable in a local hospital.

According to President Biden: “Jill and I traveled to New Orleans to stand with a community defined by strength and resilience.

To grieve.

To pray.

And let them know that America stands with them, and mourns with them.”
