Manchester United Argentine centre-back, Lisandro Martinez, said, United “can compete against everyone”, adding, “we showed it against Man City and Liverpool”.

The Argentina international’s statement is coming following the 2-2 draw in the Premier League match between his side, Manchester United, and Liverpool on Sunday 5 January, 2025 at Anfield.
Martinez and Amad Diallo scored for Ruben Amorim’s side, while Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah scored for Arne Slot’s side.
Martinez said: “we have to believe, because we can compete against everyone; we showed it against Man City and we showed it against Liverpool.
“We have the right players and we can do it.”
