Lagos State: Governor Sanwo-Olu swear in Chairman and members of LASEIC ‘to coordinate upcoming local government elections’

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced, he has sworn in the Chairman and members of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).

Sanwo-Olu said, “the newly appointed members, led by Justice Bola Okikiolu Ighile, will coordinate our upcoming local government elections.”

The Governor further announced, he swore in three new Permanent Secretaries that will help implement the THEMES+ Agenda

According to Governor Sanwo-Olu: “Today, I swore in the Chairman and members of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).


The newly appointed members, led by Justice Bola Okikiolu Ighile, will coordinate our upcoming local government elections.


We remain strongly committed to democracy, accountability, and the rule of law. Credible elections are vital for sustainable development, and we will continue to support LASIEC in its mandate.


I also swore in three new Permanent Secretaries and encouraged them to be innovative in implementing our THEMES+ Agenda.


I urged all the appointees to be guided by a sense of duty and dedication to the people of Lagos, working together to create a state where every voice is heard and everyone matters.”
