The Canadian PM made the statement as he announced his resignation as Leader of the North American country, putting an end to his nine-year rule.
Trudeau’s resignation is coming following growing pressure from within his own Party, the Liberal Party.
PM Trudeau said: “I will always fight for this country, and do what I believe is in the best interest of Canadians.”
