California Wildfires: President Trump visits Los Angeles County

US President, Donald Trump, has visited Los Angeles County in the of State of California to see firsthand the level of devastation caused by the wildfires.

Firefighters and personnel in their thousands have converged to ensure communities are protected “for nearly three weeks”.

Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, expressed gratitude to President Trump for making the trip, as well as, commended those who are battling the fire “along thousands of acres while facing extremely inhospitable conditions on the ground”.

According to Governor Newsom: “For nearly three weeks, thousands of firefighters and personnel have mobilized to SoCal to protect our communities.


They’ve battled flames along thousands of acres while facing extremely inhospitable conditions on the ground.


We commend your bravery. Thank you to our heroes.”


Newsom continued: “Thank you, @POTUS, for coming to Los Angeles and standing with Californians impacted by these firestorms that have devastated our communities.


I look forward to working together to help Southern California recover and rebuild.”
