California Wildfires: ‘More Canadian crews are on the way’

Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, said, “Canadian firefighters are on the ground, working shoulder to shoulder with American crews, helping wherever they can.”

Trudeau added, “more Canadian crews are on the way.”

The wildfires in Los Angeles has killed at least 24 and displaced thousands.

More than 100,000 people are under evacuation orders; and over 12,000 structures have been destroyed by the blaze.

PM Trudeau said: “I checked in with Canada’s Consul General in Los Angeles this afternoon. We stand with everyone in Southern California who’s been impacted by these wildfires.

We’re proud to help our American friends, and grateful for the first responders working in the toughest of conditions to save homes and keep people safe.”
