Memory Verse: Galatians 2:20 – “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20 |
In being unwaveringly loyal, Jesus Christ is the one and only example to follow. John 4:34 says, “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”
The scripture above shows Jesus’ complete loyalty to the Almighty God, His Father.
Truth about Loyalty
- It is demanding (i.e requiring much endurance, patience…)
- It is a personal choice – it is a decision one has to make by oneself. Nobody should force anyone into loyalty.
- It does not shake
- Sacrifice(s) is/are involved
Loyalty and Love in Christian Relationships
Love is a strong affection or deep caring for the being/existence of another – it could be for one’s spouse, children, family, country, God etc
It is because of the Love God has for mankind that is why he sent his “only begotten son” Jesus Christ to die for our sins to redeem us back into his beautiful and wonderful light.
Love thinks or does no evil against his neighbour. Read Romans 13:9-10.
Love is Patient. For fourteen (14) years, Jacob held on for Rachael, however, was not conscious of the fact that he had waited that long, why? b’cos of Love!!
The questions are
- Do you sincerely love God?
- Have you paid any price as proof of that love?
Conclusion
Pretence abound in our fellowship with God today. True love of Christ is missing. People talk about love but no action. Colossians 3:23 says, “and whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” Serving God is easy if you truly love Him.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me to be loyal to you. Amen!
