Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the United States (US), has died at the age of 100.

A statement on Sunday said, Carter was “surrounded by his family” at his home in Plains, Georgia, in his final moments, the Carter Center.
Before he got into Politics, Carter was a peanut farmer and a US Navy Lieutenant; he served one term as Governor of Georgia State, and as President of the United States from 1977 to 1981.
He was the only former US president to reach 100 years old.
Via a statement, the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park wrote: “Jimmy Carter National Historical Park mourns the passing of James Earl Carter, Jr., 39th President of the United States and devoted supporter of the park that bears his name. His death follows the passing of his beloved wife of 77 years, Rosalynn Carter, in November 2023.”
