Leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, has vowed, “I will not shy away from the job of holding Labour to account over its failures on immigration”.

She added, “by contrast, Labour have nothing to offer on immigration and Keir Starmer won’t take responsibility for his shameful record opposing deportations and campaigning for free movement.”

According to Kemi Badenoch: “As I explained to @CamillaTominey on @GBNEWS today, I will not shy away from the job of holding Labour to account over its failures on immigration.


I have acknowledged the mistakes my party made in government, and I have committed to bringing forward a comprehensive plan for getting the numbers down, including a strict numerical cap.


By contrast, Labour have nothing to offer on immigration and Keir Starmer won’t take responsibility for his shameful record opposing deportations and campaigning for free movement.”
