The outcome heightened Vincent Kompany’s side’s chances of progressing into the last 16 of the tournament.
Brazilian forward Kevin placed the hosts Shakhtar in front with just five minutes gone, as he curled beautifully into the far corner for his first goal in the competition.
Without forward, Harry Kane, the Bavarians fought back and levelled six minutes later through Konrad Laimer.
Thomas Müller netted the second for the visitors in the 45th minute, Olise grabbed a brace in the 70th minute from the penalty spot, and the 3rd minute of additional time.
Jamal Musiala scored for Bayern in the 87th minute.
