Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), has sent her congratulations to Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, following her reappointment as Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Okonjo-Iweala has been appointed DG WTO for a second term effective 1 September, 2025.
Mohammed said, “May your leadership continue to inspire us all.”
In her congratulatory message, Amina Mohammed wrote: “Congratulations to my sister, @NOIweala, on her second term as Director-General of @wto!
“May your leadership continue to inspire us all to strive for a more just, equal, and prosperous world for everyone.”
