PSG goalie Donnarumma suffer serious face injuries after getting hit by Monaco’s Singo’s cleat

Gianluigi Donnarumma, Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) goalkeeper, suffered multiple cuts and facial trauma on Wednesday 18 December, 2024 after he caught the cleat of Monaco defender Wilfried Singo flush on his face.

The incident occurred in the 17th minute of the PSG vs Monaco encounter when Singo tried to get to a blocked shot and on the follow-through, tried to jump over the advancing Donnarumma who was sliding in but could not avoid the nasty collision.

Singo, who had already received a warning, was lucky to avoid a red card.

PSG wrote: “Sending our best wishes to Gigio, who suffered a serious facial injury and had to leave the match in the first half.”
