The Oyo State government has approved ₦80,000 minimum wage for the State civil and public servants which takes effect from 1 January, 2025.

The govt disclosed, the decision was taken following successful negotiations with Labour Leaders.
According to Oyo State government: “The Oyo State Government has concluded negotiations with labour leaders on consequential adjustments for the new minimum wage. The new minimum wage approved for Oyo State civil and public servants is N80,000 and this will be implemented from 1 January 2025.”
