Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has offered his “deepest condolences” to the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi, and eldest son, Abdulwahab.

Namadi’s mother died as a result of illness, while his son died in a car accident.
In his condolence message, Governor Sanwo-Olu wrote: “I offer my deepest condolences to Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State on the tragic loss of his eldest son, Abdulwahab, who died in a car accident, and his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi, who passed away due to illness.
My thoughts and prayers are with their family and friends as they navigate this profound loss.
May the souls of the departed find eternal rest.”
