Fortunately, “no lives were lost” in the fire incident that happened at Trade Moore Estate, Lugbe, Abuja, as disclosed by National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

The Agency established to manage disasters in Nigeria further disclosed, the fire “destroyed food items worth millions”.
According to NEMA: “At About 04:50 hrs this morning, a destress call reported that there is fire raging at Trademore Complex, Lugbe .
NEMA Abuja operations office AOO activated the Police, Fire service and other Stakeholders who responded immediately. Currently, the fire is under control.
“It affected the food Market at the estate. The Fire was prevented from spreading to residential Buildings. No lives were lost, food stuff worth millions were destroyed.
“The Fire Service is investigating the cause of the inferno.”
