Wahab tweeted: “When people say Lagos is dirty, Lagos smells, it’s not a ficticious statement – if anything, it is the sum total of our collective irresponsibility.
Indiscriminate dumping of waste, blocking of drainage channels, open defecation, how would Lagos not be dirty?!
@followlasg will not tolerate any form of indiscipline and indiscriminate waste disposal; there is a system of collection, use it. Flouting the rules will now carry grave consequences.
Dispose your waste properly. Patronize your assigned PSP operator. Desist from defecating/urinating on the road side.”
Aisha Yesufu quoted Wahab’s tweet and commented: “How he doesn’t understand that this is an indictment of him and how he has failed the Lagos people is beyond me.
She made the effort to get the waste packed and held it for a long time looking for where to dispose the waste yet none was available.
Emotional intelligence courses should be compulsory to all those that want to hold public offices.”
Then, Wahab replied Aisha Yesufu: “Dear Aisha @AishaYesufu ,
I appreciate your enthusiasm for addressing public issues. However, it’s important to ensure a full understanding of the subject matter before commenting on it. In this instance, the item the woman is holding qualifies as domestic waste, which is meant to be disposed of properly in a waste bin within her residence, not brought out to the streets.
Your perspective suggests a possible misunderstanding of how waste management systems operate. If you’d like more information, I encourage you to explore reliable resources to better understand the classifications and proper handling of waste.
Let’s continue to engage constructively in discussions that promote adherence to laws and regulations for a more orderly society, and not to promote lawlessness and indiscipline at all times.
Cheers!”
