President of the United States (US), Joe Biden, has welcomed Boston Celtics to the White House after the team clinched the 2024 NBA trophy.

The US President wrote: “The 2024 NBA Champion Boston Celtics aren’t just any champions, but the winningest franchise in league history – now with a record 18 titles!
It was my pleasure to welcome their team to the People’s House today.”
The Celtics defeated the Mavericks four games to one, winning their first championship since 2008 and 18th overall.
